Tomas comes to AIC with vast experience of over 25 years in the Catering industry; gained from various international kitchens in Sweden, Saudi Arabia, the Philippines and India. He had served companies such as SAS Service Partner, Saudia Catering, Eurest, MacroAsia Catering Services, and the Oberoi Flight Services. Tomas joined AIC in September 2009.
Makeda joined AIC after serving Ethiopian Airlines for 17 years. Starting in various Customer Service positions, she later moved to head the In-Flight Service Division where she was responsible amongst other things, for the recruitment, training and administration of cabin crew. She now heads the Sales and Customer Services Department at AIC.
Rajan comes armed with 25 years of Airline Catering experience with extensive exposure in managing flight catering units, food and beverage management, quality control and systems and procedures. He has worked with Oberoi Flight Services, Business Associates, Taj SATS Air Catering, Saudia Catering, Ambassador's Sky Chef and Plaza Flight Kitchen.
Tesfaye has worked with various distinguished companies such as Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations, Dashen Bank, A.COM. EX-Sets, MIDROC Construction Ethiopia and Ethiopian Shipping Lines to obtain over 15 years of various exposures in the field of Human Resources and Systems & Project Management.
Aschalew started his career as a microbiologist at one of the top breweries in Ethiopia. He has a keen interest in Quality Assurance and is a certified Lead Auditor. Aschalew's meticulous approach and attention to detail helps AIC maintain high Hygiene and quality standards in its operations.
Arif comes well armed with a Master in Business Administration, minor in Accounting. Having worked as a lecturer at different universities, he has in depth knowledge and mastery of his field which gives him a strong foundation to head the Accounting section at AIC.
Eshetu has a broad exposure in sanitary and environmental health culminating with a Master of Science in Food Engineering. His experience working as a Zonal Environment and Health Expert and later on as lecturer in both public and private universities has equipped him well to head the Health, Safety & Training section at AIC.
Jerome, as an IT professional has built his career around the development and support of systems for various sectors in the service industry in Mauritius. As the IT Manager at AIC, Jerome is responsible for all IT related concerns as well as the installation of and training and support on 'INFLAIRNET' system, an in-flight catering management software that AIC is proud to work with.
Having worked for companies like Qatar Airways, Emirates Airline, Singapore Airport Terminal Services (SATS) and Beijing Airport In-flight Kitchen, Ltd (BAIC), Chef Herman has extensive experience in both the Airline and Catering industries. His 37 years in the culinary field and his passionate creative flair add a special flavor to the production team he leads at AIC.
